I have a 1998 GMC Sierra 1500, has power locks and windows but does not have keyless entry from the factory. I have a remote from an old 98 silverado I wanted to use on this one. I did not know what other items I will need to make this work or where the transmitter would be on the truck if it was on there from the factory. Thanks!!

You'd need the receiver on the tk side. And prob some wiring might be easier to get an aftermarket remote start type system

Thanks for the responce! I figured that might be the way to go. The aftermarket remotes are so goofy. I always liked GM's factory set ups.
