98 chev 1500 /fisher 8.5 ezv

    i have a 1998 chev 1500 6.5 diesel and a fisher ez v plow 8.5
    do you think that the 8.5 ez v is to heavy for it

    yea i think its a bit heavy. you might want to beef up the front end if you decide to put that on, those diesel engines are pretty heavy as well

    Since it's only a 1/2 ton and it has a 6.5 diesel an 8.5' EZ V would be to much for it IMO. This thread should get moved to a different forum.

    I didn't think they put diesels in a 1500?

    Ya they did that for a few years. They didn't make many 1500s with diesels though. They also made Tahos and Suburbans with diesels.

    I did know about the Suburbans being made with diesels. I also thought those only came in a 3/4 ton truck. Learn something new everyday! Than no, that plow is to heavy.:dizzy:

    im thinking it may be a little heavy even if it had a gas motor!
