I currently have a 7.5' ultra pro 2plug/9pin on a 95 chev 1/2ton and plan on installing on to a 2004 chev 1/2ton short box w/torsion bars. I know I'll at least need a new mount ~$500, but I would like to save $ on the light wiring and possibly plow lites. This plow is for minimal personal use and the lights would hardly be used. Could I use the existing 95 harness and not hook up the light portion. Instead hook existing plow lights (low beam only) thru a plug or remote switch to truck battery? Does anybody have a ultra mount for a 2004 chev 1/2ton for sale. I may have a ultra mnt off my 95 1/2ton available soon.

You would have to convert your complete existing 9 pin over to a 12 pin harness to work with the '03-GM. Not an inexpensive swap.

Sure. With a a little electrical ingenuity you can wire it any way you want.

Or just buy the new Isolation harness(s). they aren't expensive. May as well have everything work.

When you say isolation harness is this isolated/seperated from the truck headlite system. Can you give more details.
    thanks

With an ultramount there should be an isolation module, which is the brain of everything. In order to convert the system over to another truck depending on what truck, you also need to convert the iso. mod. Especially GM because they build the isolation module around the headlight design of the truck. I thought you were trying to get away with. Do u have the isolation module with your plw?
