95 actuator stayes engaged

    95 k2500 new style actuator stayes engaed even when out of four wheel drive have power to the blue and brown wire at actuator ground is good lights on in cab when in four wheel drive

    Make sure the axle is still engaged. Try to turn the driveshaft when the T-case is in 2wd or neutral.

    Floor shift I'm assuming....

    Check the blue wire again but while in 2WD. If it's still hot then the switch on the T-case is stuck in. Simple to replace the switch and is available at most any parts store.

    Not too critical that the actuator is stuck in though, unless you're planning a long road trip then it affects fuel mileage slightly.

    Most guys WANT them to stay in while in 2WD. Quicker/easier 4WD engagement that way when the roads are less than bare. wesport
