As the post says, broke the automatic in my 1991 Dodge 3/4 Cummins truck. Anyone have a good one, or know of place to buy a heavy duty model. Thanks in advance

I just had my A-518 rebuilt, it was a mistake. I am hunting for parts to convert my truck to a N.V. 4500/5 speed. I have plowed with both autos and sticks and prefer a stick. Yes it is more work but I like the control you get from the stick and with a nice light clutch pedal it's really no big deal. Once you let off the throttle it slows the truck down so most times you just have to use the clutch to stop, not much different than pushing in the brake. The 4500 shifts so smooth that it really not much more time than an auto if your careful with it. When the snow is wet or the weather is mild you don't have to worry about your temps going up and as far as pre/post season service, just pull the drain plug and refill with qualilty syntorque and your done. The auto in these first gen trucks is really the weak link in the driveline, plus 5 speeds are more desirable if you want to sell it down the road.
