    Hello All,

I am looking at a 2008 2500HD Extended cab short box 6.0 without plow prep. I have a 9 foot meyers straight blade that I would like to put on it. Does this seem reasonable for this truck. I would likely put Timbrens on it and definitely ballast. Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks,

    Tony

I have the same truck you are talking about. My plow with my wings puts me at about 9ft. My truck handles the plow no problem.

Add the gussets and timberns and maybe a few cranks on the t-bars with ballest and you will be fine.

I run a 8 1/2 Western on GMC, with Timbrens, and it drops a 1/2 inch if that. You will not have a problem. Good luck!
