Hey guys......I just purchsed a 85 chevy 1500/k10 4x4. It has a diamond 8 ft ez mount plow on it. I thinks it might me to heavy for the front end. What do you guys think? I would like to use this for winter and then find a 7.5 in the spring /summer.

It should be fine if you have factory 3 leaf springs and stout enough tires to handle weight (at least 2000lbs plus capacity per tire) because 1/2 and 3/4 tons of that era used same frame up front and same axle too except for hubs (8 lug) and brake rotor size.
