88 Dodge 250 Gas pedal hard to push?

    I just bought another plow truck it a 88 dodge, The gas pedal is hard to push, is there a spring I can replace, or what else causes this. Thanks for you help.

    could be the cable or the carb . disconnect the cable see if the carb moves freely
    if it does probaly the throttle cable

    Thanks John, I checked and it must be the cable, How hard is it to replace, is it just a bolt on gig or are many adjustmenst needed? Also do you know where could I get the part. Thanks For the Help!
