Looking at a beat 100 PU with a 7.5 myers plow for $1300.00 (US). truck runs fine (318) and the plow works. Transmission (automatic) slips when shifting up into 3rd. Seems to work fine in 1st and 2nd. This truck will never see the road. It will be used just for plowing a long privite job and will never be in 3rd. So you think this slip will progress into the lower gears or is the 3rd gear on a seperate system on these transmissions?

That should be a pretty solid tranny if you change the fluid and filter.
The 318/727 combination is bulletproof---I would jump on it.
