Looks looks the gremlins are having fun with me this week. 1st the plow was too low after putting on the new cutting edges. Fixed that. Now as i was getting back from clean ups,the plow is stuck in the upright position . It works fine left and right and the wings extend and retract no problem.
When i go to drop it, the float light stays on but the blade stays up. ( i knew i shouldnt have dropped a Viagra into the hydro fluid :)!) I took the controller apart and made sure the joystick was making contact with the switch. Anything else i can check before i bring it into the shop?

Check where the wires come out of the joystick. I had one wear through right at the box. It was a simple splice at my warm desk in the office. Hope this helps.

Yeah...when i had the box apart i checked all the contact points and checked for any loose wires. Everything seemed nice and tight and connected. Its just wierd that only the down position doesnt work. Interesting, my last name is Marcus. Everyone wants to spell it with a K like you do.

That's funny, everyone spells mine with a C.
Might be a stuck valve. I know that bottom ram gets quite pitted.

Check your drop speed adjustment. I had the same thing happen to me, mine was nearly all the way closed not allowing any flow in the "DOWN" or "FLOAT" position.

Looks like im heading to the shop. I checked both the bottom ram and the drop speed adj. Still nothing. I guess better now than 3 days ago! This is the first time i have had any issues with the Blizzard in 2 years. Lets hope they are the last of the season. I will let everyone know what happens.

How did you check the drop speed adjustment screw? I found that I had to remove the black Zinc dial and use a smaller wrench to loosen the jam nut in order to turn the inner valve. It's a bit difficult to get in there when the plow is stuck in the up position, but when the blade is supported by jackstands, it's much safer.
