I am trying to change my 86 chevy 350 with turbo 400 to a 6.2 diesel.
I also have an 82 chevy diesel that I will use the engine out of. I was wondering if the transmission out of the 86 will bolt up to the engine out of the 82. I also need to know if I have to change all the fuel lines and senders. Where can I find a wiring schematic for a 6.2 diesel?

    Thanks,

    Alan T

It should physically fit but the shift points will be too high on the gas tranny. I think the difference is in the valve body and governor.

As for the rest, look over your parts vehicle and compare it to what you have. Base your decision on what you see. Wiring diagrams are usually shown in Haynes, Chiltons, or the OEM GM manual. Look on ebay.
