I'm leaking some fluid from the gasket, and I'm about to replace it. I got the filter kit, which includes the gasket. I know sometimes there is a crazy tighten it in a star pattern to x, losen it to y, then retighten it to z. Anyone have any guesses?

Vehicle is a 1991 Chevy Suburban V1500 (350) if it helps.

This site says 10-12 ft lbs - sound good?

I just did my 727 and tightened to 150 In. Lbs. So 12 Ft. Lbs sounds right.

    12' pounds is right.

I would add a drain plug to the pan while its off.
