6.5 Cubic feet of salt???

    I'm considering buying a spreader that holds 6.5 cu ft of bulk salt. How much is that? About 700 lbs. ??

    That's about 1/4 cu yd,, more like 500 lbs.

    Well... my spreader holds 10-cu.ft. which was about 700-lbs. So yeah, about 400-500-lbs. sounds right.
