I posted this under plowing also, hoping to get an answer.
I have an '03 250 with a 5.4..I jsut hit 35k and lately when plowing i will push up to a pile, and then the truck dies..Almost like when I let my foot of the gas it cant keep an idle and quits..anyone have a similar problem..also the light on the shift for tranny problems is flashing all of a sudden....Great truck, i dont think ford meant to have it fail now, maybe at 36500!@!!

Its sounds like you have a sensor going out , have your truck scanned .I bet its the throttle positioning sensor.
