I am moving to a new house that is on a private road that doesn't get plowed or sanded. I have a plow for my truck but no sander. I was thinking of using my tractor and the seed spreader with sand and salt mix. Anyone ever do this? Here is a pic of what I mean.

Yes we have used one at my work before and it has worked well. As long as the sand is not extremely wet.
