This is my first 1 ton truck. I have noticed when I load a skid of salt in the back, I have a thump noise when I go over a bump. I'm almost certain its the overload leaf springs hitting the bump stops that are attached to the frame. Just wondering if this is normal?

the overloads on the stops,,,yes,,,clunk,,,kinda....rubber stops on the springs will make a noise. try greasing the stops where they contact the springs, see if that helps
