Retiring my 1978 Chevy 3/4 w/ old western cable type 7.5 ( last 3 years, it wasnt on the road, did my home only ):

And replaced it with a 2009 Silverado 1500 w/ Boss 7.6 Poly standard. I had the truck already ( bought new ), I just added the plow a few days ago:

No timbrens, front end only sagged 7/8". I have 470# of ballast in the back. It's mainly for just our drive, which isn't all that huge, I just like comfort while plowing. :D Actualy, the old truck was giving me a problem here and there, so instead of messing with it, I upgraded.

Anyone in Mid-Michigan want to buy a 78 Chevy? :mechanic:

I had a 2005 1500 with 7,6 boss plow ,traded it in 1-5-2010 with 76000 miles. My front end sagged and my front wheels looked like bird wings every time i hit sway's in the road. Couldn't' believe i didn't have any front end problem's!
