I need some help wiring my western snow plow on my 2008 SD. I purchased an older unimount that has the 2 pin connector on the plow for power from the battery, and I think it's the 9 pin plug for the lights, controller etc. I have been told the correct way is to buy the correct kit that is for the truck, but that I will also have to rewire the plow. I set this same setup on a 2006 f-250 using the harness from a 1995 chevy using a 3 way toggle switch to switch between tne truck, and plow lights. Will this work for the 2008 as well.
