Is any one out there plowing with a 2008 - 2009 Chevy 1500? Just looking for anything that would help me not mess up the truck and plow. I have western HTS on it. How much weight do you have in the back? Should I plow in AUTO 4x4 or 4x4 mode? thanks

400 lbs works well. Provides good traction and counterweight without hauling around a great deal of unneeded weight all winter if you plan to leave it in there.

Always plow in 4HI. Do not use the auto setting while actually pushing snow. But auto 4X4 is fine between jobs of course if you like to use it.
