2002 F250 diesel - plow weight ???

    I hope you know how to do ball joints. The weight of my plow plus the diesel engine is torture on my ball joints and bearings.

    Does it matter?

    Wouldn't an 850# Hiniker weigh the same as an 850# Boss or Western or Meyer or Blizzard or Snoway or whatever?

    What's heavier? A ton of feathers or a ton of lead?

    Has little to do with the plow. Go on the Ford forums and guys replace them all the time that never plow. I've had one truck make it 19K with a V plow and another with over 95K and a Blizzard for its entire life.
