The dead pedal would be the TPS sensor I would guess...mine did the same thing no a cheap part to replace.

If that truck were red I would buy it right now looks great for the money!

Is there any rust on the door bottoms? Has lift pump ever been replaced?

I could see why, it seems like a very nice truck. I've just always been a bit "shy" about dodge auto's, to many stories of them not lasting very long. I guess I could solve that problem with a built trans from ats, goerend bros, etc but those are quite a bit of coin.

I looked into a new "built" trans for it from some guy on the west side of Mi and it was around $3000 for a trans built for plowing, if i was going to keep it I would go that route and you would have a truck that will never die. with a cummins and a trans built by this guy. I will look up his name

Since I think it is going to need a lift pump soon, and the trans issue I will take $10,000 for the truck will leave the remote start, but i will take off the lights and put back in the stock radio

I will also leave the back rack and tool box

Check the fuel pressure, this will tell you the condition of the lift pump. If the lift pump goes it can ruin your VP-44 injection pump. If it is the original pump at 88,000 miles I would be suprised if it wasn't bad.

How does a remote start work on a diesel with the WAIT TO START light?

They have a timer built in to wait for the light to go off...I have them in all of our diesel trucks! It's great no having to go out in the cold twice to start the truck...then to leave!
