I have 2001 3500 4x4 with the duramax/allison set up. The truck has roughly 140,000 on it has been serviced regulary. The transmission is starting to slip periodically. Has any one else had this problem. These transmissions are not cheap.

I would go to duramaxforum.com if you want more info I know for a fact that I drove for 5 k miles with a burnt up c1 and c 3 clutch packs I did change the internal filter as well as the spin on and put amsoil torque drive fluid in it to hold it over until I could afford to get the trans built.... so maybe try doing the service on it, make sure you don't get it "flushed" that is the worst for a allison
