Motor seams to be pusalting or a slight rev when holding it at 40mph on flat road and on hills. Thought it was just my foot on peddel at first .. Does not do it all the time, Every time that i did look i was doing around 40mph. Thanks..

Around those year Dodge diesels had much trouble with the auto transmitions. If its auto it could be that.

Check the fuel pressure. Perhaps a lift pump is going south.

That's a given anyway if the pump is the OEM.

Also, do the 3 key on code pulling trick and get some P-codes.

Usually on these trucks it's to do with the APPS could need a noise isolator see ebay#280937707340 or may need a new APPS (accelorator pedal position sensor)

Sounds like dead pedal, they noise filter should fix the issue.

Trannies those years are not bad like uneducated (about these trucks) people will say.

Pull the codes before you start dropping big $$$$ The APPS isn't cheap. Lift pumps aren't cheap. Injector pumps are not cheap. Torque converters are not cheap. (However Torque converter anti-drainback valves are and they do fail)

Again, pull the codes using the key off, key on trick.

I've got the same truck and have probably done everything on it at this point.

there are a few things that you can clean... air intake sensor and mapp sensor.
google them. need a deep well socket 32mm I think it was and some intake cleaner.

    probably covered with soot.

pull the codes like others said. there is also a way to re calibrate the throttle position sensor if I remember correctly and im not confusing it with my 03. its a key combination and then a few pushes to the floor slowly on the pedal.

Correct about calibrating the APPS. Geno's garage and cumminsforum is a great resource.
