2000 dodge ram heating up....

    i have a ram 3500 mason dump with plow and sander.. runs good except when in un plowed roads and plowing some drives the temp come up and sometimes the check engine light comes on.... should i put an exta fan on or something else looking for any advice if any oneelse has this problem.... Thanks

    Make sure the clutch in the fan is working properly. Sounds like it is worn out and not engaging 100%. These fans will move lots of air if working correctly. If you rev the engine and don't hear the rush of air then I put some $ on the clutch fan. Make sure you replace it with the HD version. Do a search for the exact part number. Is it a gasser or diesel???
