today i changed out the flex plate in my truck and we disconnected everything to it so we could move it around and not have any problems. When we got it put back together the trans shifts extremely hard between gears, if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this it would be a great help.

The trans is in "limp mode".More than likely due to a wiring problem.. go back over it and check the main harness connection where it plugs into the trans..and make sure you connected the plugs into BOTH the speed sensors on the driver side of the trans case. Also check to be sure you didn't pinch the harness anywhere...especially between the trans and the engine...very common on the GM's when reinstalling the trans..
