How many tons of salt can I fit in a 20 ft storage container? I found some on craigslist for $2000 and thinking I might go this route. Also, can I store a few plows and a sander on top in the off season? Or is that too much weight? Thanks!

You can squeeze around thirty tons in there.

    I have 60 tons in a 40' Footer....

Stacked 6" maybe a foot from the roof.. Sucks pushin it back..

Dose work well if you keep the loader off the walls and don't lift bucket to high

Nice, thanks. Can they take some weight on top for summer storage?

Yes. Think how they are loaded on the boats--filled with thousands of pounds of who-knows-what and stacked something like 10 high... The strength is in the ribbed design of the walls.

I don't think it will notice your plow up there... lol Putting it on a skid to lift it yo there will spread the weight out even more...
