If you have an electronic joystick, the contacts may be gummed up. Take it apart and clean the contacts with alcohol or a quality contact cleaner from a auto parts store.

If you have a manual lever, then your valve assembly may be clogged or leaking. Bigger job!

Also check the black plug that hooks up to the plow, could be loose?.

Electrical plugs tight, fluid level fine now what?:help:
  5. Boss Woes

    I have the same plow

Usually if the connect plug is working for one function it will work for all
but the contact spray is critical and then dialectric grease.
I used to hate breaking a connection that was working because I didnt
know if it would work the next time.

THAT SAID: I spray PB in the female end (?) --of the plug-- and then
CAREFULLY turn a small drill bit in the contact receiving holes.
Then hit with air-gun and regrease with dialectric.

    You have some choices:
    A. Borrow a joy stick and plug in your system ??

    B. Put a 12V tester on the wires to the different components from the
plow end of the plug and see if they are receiving power.

    C. You can jumper power to the contact that you want to activate
and see if it will work that way

Having just spent an hour pulling every spade connection off my control
connections, cleaned with CRS contact spray and dialectric grease,...
I know how shakey they were and FF sprayed when done.

The quick try is spray every connection with PB power blaster,
it may soak the connection and fix a corroded contact.

    And the phone # for Boss: 906- 776- 4600

Can you hook it up to a friends truck and use his stuff to see if it works? If everything works on his truck then it is your truck side harness.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. After pulling the coils checking magnetism , checking screens and testing electrical connections my partner to a bfh and whacked the 203.00 valve and now it angles with no problem. Can you believe that little valve is 203.00 I am so glad I didnt have to buy one..:D
  8. I know some guys that would charge for hitting with bfh-s

It is not the cost of the hit but knowing where to hit it !!
