My 99 Yukon will not move!!!!

I plowed snow with it over the weekend no problems at all. I come home and I push the button to take it out of 4 wheel drive and now it wont move. the indicator lights on the buttons change from 2 hi to 24 high to 4 low just as they should. i can also hear some sort of relay in the dash clicking every time I push a button. I seems as tho the transfer case is stuck in the neutral position. If i put truck in forward or reverse it will not move. When i go back to park the transmission clicks until it stops and locks into park. (i am sure this isn't the best way to describe this but its all i got) In other words it seems transmission is working because the park lock wont engage until it stops turning.

    please help!!!!!:mechanic:

That is exactly what it sounds like--t case is in neutral. Your encoder motor may have goine bad. Start by checking fuses, connections at the transfer case encoder motor and go from there

Definitely sounds like the case is in neutral. You can pull the encoder motor off and use a 14mm (I'm pretty sure) to shift the case by hand.
