This pig handles snow like nothing...we even plowed trees with it once, this October. I'll have to get pictures of the 05 Yukon with a Fisher HT and the 06 Sierra 1500 with a 7'6" RD.

That rig has 93500 miles or so, runs like a charm. They're cheap and reliable lol..this thing never lets us down, besides it needing front u-joints.

This actually helps a decision I've been pondering over lately. A family friend will be moving to another country soon, and he has a '98 Tahoe with ~90,000 miles that I could buy from him for a really good price. The truck is in great condition inside and out, since he really only used it for light driving around town and occasionally towing his boat. The only thing keeping me from going for it is wondering whether or not it can be a functional plow truck, even for just residential stuff.

Anyone else have an opinion? And if so, which plow(s) are the best fit?

My father-in-law uses one with a Boss 7'6" Sport duty (poly). I thought he was nuts when he bought it, but he loves it and it pushes like a champ. I was actually thinking about trading my old chevy off on one.

This Tahoe has ~90,000 miles as well, and its the best truck we have for pushing snow. We sometimes switch to this truck because it pushes so much better than the Yukon and Sierra. I'd go Fisher.

Trucks having electrical issues. We know there are mice in it, or used to be so idk. Could have something to do with the plow or the battery.

Radio, plow send voltage gauge diving

    E-brake turns headlights off

Truck is sitting outside right now, hasn't been started since the last plowable snow...maybe a month and a half with a 3 month old battery

Sound like you have a crossed wire someware. But id try changeing the battery. once its fixed you migt consider installing a sencond battery in the second tray if you haven already done so.

How on earth would that make the e-brake turn the headlights off?

Have you read any of the posts? Tahoes make great plow trucks, especially for driveways.

I'm guessing incorrect Iso module? Setting the parking brake will turn the DRLs off.

Now this truck goes back to sitting..plow is in the garage and its parked in the corner. Still drive it maybe twice a month. Don't really drive any of the trucks if I don't need to. Camry is way better on gas.

Nice Tahoe and plow. How do you like it compared to your GMC 1500?

I have switched from the Sierra to this before, this is heavier and pushes much better than the Yukon or the Sierra.
