Has anyone with a 1999 Silverado 2500 with the 6.0 litre had any problems with the serpentine belt tearing along the inside of the belt. I have changed the belt tensioner and the idler pulley and it still tears the belt. thanks.

I haven't seen one yet.Maybe you have a pulley out of alignment ? Check the pulleys with a straightedge to see if one is out of line. Also check to make sure the pulley grooves are clean, and don't have built up rubber in them. This can cause the belt to walk off and wear the edge.

You have taken care of the two most common ones, the tensioner, and the idler pulley.
