1997 Ford F-450 for sale!

    Hey guys Im selling my F-450 1997 100000 miles loaded 4X4 auto 15000GVW

    Dump Bed Blizzard mount and wiring harness already installed. For the right price Ill let the 8611 go also. Red in color standard cab.

    7.3L Diesel and its a powerhouse I can push more snow with this than I can my A300.

    Are you positive thats a 4x4? I know it sounds like a dum question, but I was almost positive those 97 F-450's DID NOT COME in 4x4. It wasnt even an option. I could be mislead.

    I think I remember hearing that somewhere too... and it does not look as if there are lock outs or anything on the front wheels, which I think a 1997 should still have.

    It was available as a 3rd party conversion through dealers and covered under Ford warranties. There were other companies that did aftermearket conversions as well. Was pretty straightforward using a 10 lug Dana front end and F350 4x4 steering geometry, front driveshaft, transfer etc.

    I think I remember in an earlier thread that he confirmed his was a Ford warrantied conversion.

    A lot of brush fire trucks and even some ambulances around here are still on the road with the conversions.

    Well I was going to say, it does have the ground clearance common with 4x4; however, the hubs must be locked in all the time, as i do not see where you can unlock them....

    Guys there is 2 phillips head screws that you take off per hub and then you can lock them in under the wheel simulators.
