One of my first plow trucks was a 79 Bronco. It was great to get into smaller drives with the short wheel base.

If you plow with it, the front end goes about 30,000 between major parts replacement.
Short wheel base is nice for drives and tight areas. Look at it real close, old plow trucks can cost you in repairs. Look at the frame real close and the floor pan for rust outs.
If you can wrench your own stuff and not pay to have it done you can get away with an older truck.

$2000 could be a good deal if it is a real clean Bronco. But you could put even more into it, making it not worth it, if it is a piece of crap.

We have been using broncos with 7-6 westerns for years, they have great turning radius. Just put a set of air bags in the front and your good to go. Assuming the previous owner didn't beat the tar out of it.
