1988 f350 dump with 7.3 diesel 5spd

    this truck with this equipment any good?
    i've never owned a diesel.

    That is an International IDI diesel with no turbo unless one was added. They are fairly simple engines, especially compared to a powerstroke. They are really reliable, but the drawback is that they don't have much power. It will get you were you need to go, but it's just a lacking power compared to current diesels. Being a 5 speed will help with the power issue, but will make your leg either look like Popeye's arms or fall off if your going to plow with it for more than about 7-8 hours.
