Well since everybody has a thread about rehabbing there snow plow, I thought I would make one of my 1987 Toro CCR2000E Single Stage Snowblower. I was looking for a toro single stage for a month or so. Came across this one on craigslist, $100 OBO. Called the guy and went took at look at it the next day. Showed up at his house and he forgot I was even coming. Went back to his garage and he pulled it out. It was in pretty bad shape as you can see by the pictures and video, surface rust all over the place, the belt was bad, no scraper bar, worn down paddles. The metal where the scraper bar was hooked to was all rusted out and falling off. He first said $50 and it is yours. Now this was on CL and everything on that site is negotiable. It is a buyers market that is for sure. I started telling him all the work that needed done and how much it would cost. Well he was like what will u give me for it. I said $20. He looked at me and said Okay. Before I gave him the money, I gave it a couple of primes and it started up on the 2nd or 3rd pull. Well I took it home, I stripped it down, did a little sanding, cleaning of the carb and fuel lines, new sparkplug, belt, scrapper bar, paddles, paint job, ran some new mix through it and some seafoam. A good once over. $85 in parts and new hardware, about 6 to 7 hours of my time and i the end I have a"new to me" 1987 toro single stage snowblower. It has the suzuki 4.5 hp 2cycle engine. I found out this about at the toro website with the model # and Ser #. Well I guess I will let the videos and pictures do the rest of the talking. It was a fun little project and I am worried that I am going to become that guy that starts buying junkie snowblowers and rehabbing them all year long. My girlfriend said I will have 5 more in the shop by the end of the month. Well I hope you guys enjoy.

Here is a video of it all done. I have some more pics but I need to resize them and get them up soon. I also have a video of starting it. It was 22degrees outside and I had not run the snowblower for 3 days. It started up on the first pull. It smokes a little. I hope you guys enjoyed.

Good rehab. I have about an 87 too. Mine is an S200 though, it smokes too and is loud. But that thing can sure move alot of snow so I bet yours will too. Good luck with it this season, mine always starts and runs strong whenever I need it.
