1987 ford f 250

    Need some help the other day i was working on the the f250 with the 351 and auto tran i was up inside the engine area,after i put the new alt in i took it for a ride reason the truck is up shifting really hard i have to put the pedal to the floor to get it to shift can someone please tell me if i may have bent or broke something that makes this tranny shift

    Make sure your vacuum lines to transmission are still connected.

    If the truck has a carb. check linkage at carb. going down to the trans.rubber bushings wear out and will pop off . I have the same truck.
