We have a surplus machine. Runs really well - only used on snow since we purchased it in 2005. The transmission has been rebuilt; the tires are good. We're asking $20,000. Call us at (514) 695-6787) or admin@landcareinc.ca. Thanks.

    Not a big difference but it's actually a 1977, not a 1976.

Is the 'box' removable from the bucket?

I used to run a 644C, (might have been a D), was an excellent loader, lots of power to push snow.

The "box", "cage" or, as the manufacturer calls it, "SnowWings" are just held on by the hooks on the top of the bucket and gravity. You just lift and tip the bucket forward and they come off. It makes it really easy to push lots of snow the length of a parking lot and then drop of the extension and stack. This machine has as much power as our newer 644's - will push tonnes of snow.

We were thinking it might also be a good machine for anyone with a feedlot or other such operation.

Nobody wants this hard-working loader? The price is negociable but we'll only entertain reasonable offers. It's a great machine and only a spare because we've bought a couple of newer ones.

    How many hours?

We don't know. When we bought the machine in 2005, the hour meter showed only 1600 hours; obviously, it had been replaced at some time. It apparently doesn't work terribly well because, seven seasons later, it read 1843 and we normally do about 200-300 hours in a season. The only major work we've had to do on it was replace the turbo and repair the transmission back in 2005.
