New unit this fall and just now had the chance to put material through it. 4.5yd mid sized salt dogg spreader. Finding that to hit ~800 lbs per acre, we are having to drive 20ish mph. On some of out lots thats great. On most, thats just not possible. Its great doing large lots averaging an acre every 2 minutes. However, Id like to reduce the output. Can we change the sprocket for the chain to slow its roll? Other than slowing the engine (already done and looses spread width) or closing down the feed gate (already closed as much as possible) I cant think of much else to do. TIA.

good story, great solutions :) I hear down easter has a dual electric in this size. Sounds like a better choice...
