    Does wider tires get you less MPG...?? More rubber resistance on the road...Does tire size change the rear gearing...

    Yes to both slightly.

    Only tire diameter changes the effective gear ratio. Width makes no difference.

    and speedometer will be show slow than normal but miles will be low to spin due big tires then you need programmer or change gear teeth.

    I saw a noticable decrease inmileage going from 245's to 285's. I finally settled on 265's as a compromise. Wider tires may also decrease your mpg as you will have more rolling resistance.
