I wouldnt expect anything more than 12-14mpg, especially since its the heavy duty. dodge changed the hemi slightly from 05-06, i believe it gets alittle better milage and the engine is alot smoother. my 04 gets about 11.7mpg right now and my 07 3500 is an absolute pig, i wouldnt doubt it if it got around 8-10mpg.

If you can find an 09 (same body style as the 08) it will have the updated HEMI with Variable Cam Timing and 383HP. These newer motors are getting better MPG's than the older HEMI's. Plowing I get about 9mpg, unloaded in the summer I can pull 14-15mpg. My roads are hilly and average 45-50mph.

10mpg highway here - but that's all mountain driving at ~10K feet.
