05 silverado ultramount mount question

    hey guys i got some used brackets and got them all cleaned up and painted and ready to be mounted on the truck but realized that western says that there should be two u-shaped pieces that go into the frame were the mount mounts-do i need these? can i install withouth them or should i make something to go in there. thanks

    Either get the saddles or make something to go in there. They are there to keep you from ripping the bottom and sides of your frame out.

    what kind of plow is it, straight blade or MVP?

    Are you talking about "stand hook"?

    Hes talking about the truck side mount. Blade type doesnt matter nor does uni or ultra, the saddles (western calls them spacers) are needed with both type mounts.
