Do these have to be calibrated by a dealer or will the onboard computer set it? Thank You

They can't be re calibrated they have to be replaced.. Mine went 7 days after I got a letter from GM saying if my truck was out of warranty and under 75,000 miles They would replace it at no charge. I had 80,000... I can't remember what it cost to have it fixed but it's worth it to know how fast or slow you're going....

what does it need to be re-calibrated for? did you get a new one or are you just looking to correct the speedometer or something?
