I need to put a new mirror (the entire thing, not just the glass) in an 03 yukon XL. The mirror is the stock low profile mirror (not towing) and has power. How hard is this to do? and can anyone give me some tips on how to do it?

    thanks,
    -mike-

should be able to remove interior door panel to access nuts holding mirror. don't know if there is a panel just for the mirror or if it is one piece with the rest of the panel as i don't have one to look at. sometimes you can get away with just pulling the part for the mirror without removing whole panel if it is a one piece, just be careful especially if it is cold. should take more than a half hour and one trip to the fridge. good luck.

Nothing special about it Mike. Pull the door panel, disconnect the wiring for the mirror and remove the three nuts holding the mirror on.

You shouldn't even need to do the whole door panel. I did one on my last truck and it was just a little triangle piece that you could remove and there were the 3 bolts and the wire. it took all of 15 min to do.

Still enough time for a trip to the fridge for a root beer, just won't get as warm.
