Is the blower motor resistor as common an issue as it used to be in GMs? I have my fathers Trailblazer today and noticed that there is no action on 1,2 and 3 for the fan. I assume it is the resistor. Is there anything else that would cause that issue? How much of a pain is it to get to in these?

It's a pretty common failure on the TB. Impalas too.

Is it behind the glove box? I replace one in the 98 Sierra I had, just had to take the glove box out and squeeze my hand in there.

Common failure, should be located under the dash. If you poke your head in the passengers footwell inside the cab and look up at the bottom of the dash you will see it.

Having the same issue. Is it the one with the 3 wire connector going into it?
