01 f550 stalls out

    my o1 550 will run fine then periodically stalls out instantly.put new fuel filter,changed crank sensor .....it usually starts after a short wait......anyone experience such......hard to use as reliable plow vehicle when it so unpredictable

    not on a truck but my jeep did it all the time, finally found out it was the ignition module, i believe trucks just have ignition switchs that can be replaced check into that

    If it is a diesel, have you changed the oil lately?

    If it is a powerstroke-- Did you try a new Cam position sensor? they seem to give a similar problem when they start to go.

    Cam position sensor. I have replaced it on my 7.3
