Doesn't have to be for a non HD. 2500/2500HD/3500 will all work. :salute:

As far as the mount goes a 1500 will not work. Has to be 2500/2500HD/3500 like I mentioned. Can be any year from the classic Silverado body style of those chassis platforms. Such as '99-'07.

I just bought a 5 year old 8.6 mvp. It came off a 2000 3500hd. I have a 2000 2500, will the mount change right over? Will I need to Drill holes in the frame?

The 3500HD's were the classic body style and only 2wd's. Even if your 2000 was a classic, it would only fit if it were 2wd.

When I looked under the truck it came off from it had four wheel drive. My truck is the new body style, so it wont work?

If it was a classic body 2000 then no. Also, then it must have been a regular 3500, not a 3500HD. The HD's were not offered in 4wd.

It said hd on the side, maybe it was just put there. I know it had 4x4 for sure. What if it was 2000 1/2? I know thats when they made the switch. Even so, it shouldn't take much modifying I wouldn't think, Narrow it down or lengthen it. Then again new mounts aren't very expensive.
