Northman plow (solenoid?) clicking, working intermittantly

I just bought a used northman plow and it worked for a couple weeks then last storm began to work on and off. Didnt work today when i first got in, then worked as the truck warmed up then at the end of the day pretty much completely stopped working when the plow was in the down position. The motor or something involved with it is clicking but the the motor wont even whine or anything, clicking only, then occasionally randomly working. Solenoid or should I just replace the motor?

Hell, do the solenoid first. See what happens.

Get a nice continuous duty unit like a Cole Hersee (sp?) you can beat on those bad boys.
About $30.00. If it's the motor you now have a spare solenoid, which you should have anyway.

See if you can jump the motor with a set of jumper cables, see if it runs.
