No Snow Zone

I must be in the no snow zone. That first snow storm on friday was 50- 100 miles too far to the east. The second storm on sunday into monday was 50-100 miles too far to the west. Famers Almanac calls for a nor'easter Feb 4-11. I hope we get something before then. Just so I can make sure all the bugs are out of the equipment. C'MON!!!

Your in tough competition for the NO snow zone. As you said, last week to far east, last sunday, ever so slightly to far west. I went exactly 13 miles from my house yesterday, and there was evidence of plowing that had been done.

Did make a little money this morning salting/sanding, w/a surprise ice glazing.

Everybody keeps saying 'careful of what you wish for' their full of it, cause I keep wishin' and it isn't happening.

THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!

well, i guess i finally got a little lucky sunday. i was worried for a while though, mostly rain mixed w/ sleet, then it finally changed over to snow for about 3 hrs.[ about 3-4'' ]. i just looked at weather for sunday, and it says snow, but i think that's a weak system. however, my long range forecast says big storm for next thursday & friday. [ lol ] how about the freak sleet & freezing rain this am. just missed that by 20 miles! hang in there, January usually is light, but i think Feb. & March should be good for all of us in mid- atlantic area this year!!

I know Jan doesn't really produce much for the mid atlantic. I just hope everyone is right about the end of this month and the beginning of Feb. Thats when we got those 2 big snows in 2000. I really don't care anymore about what I wish for and not wanting it........BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!

According to my records, last year we got one 5" snow on Jan 31st. Otherwise three 1 1/2"ers. Then Feb 3rd - 5"; Feb 6th - 11"; Feb 23rd - 7"; Feb 25th - 3"; Mar 7th - 12"; Mar 10th - 14"; Mar 13th - 1" and Mar 30th - 9".

It ain't over yet.

I thought the no snow zone was the Iowa/Illinois border here in the midwest. The only snow we have around here is the kind they sell in downtown Davenport on the corner. (or so I hear, never bought )

Long range forecsat (for what it's worth) is showing another possible storm for next Mon & Tues. Of course Phila is directly on the border of rain or snow. I can only guess what it will be.

Also, I have a computer problem perhaps somebody could help me with. I've been trying to cut & paste the Phila area on the weather map & move it into the snow belt, maybe on top of Erie or Buffalo. I can't seem to get it to work. Any suggestions???

Casey,
Sell your plow, you may have a money maker right there.

Now, if you can only get crushed ice to come out of there......

OK I'm no longer in the "no snow zone" I honestly saw six or seven snowflakes in the air today.
Bad thing was by the time the truck was warmed up the sun came out and melted them.

Bruce

Help!!! Mom nature hates snow plowers this year.
