i've been building my business to not depend on snow removal money as income as well......

but, it's still nice to see that extra money and its nice to go out and do some work once in a while. not to mention it makes the money spent on snow blowers, shovels, salt, salt spreaders and snow plows worth while when there is snow to push.

i'd front a guys vacation for 50" of snow for the season. i'd definitely turn a profit.

Pffffffffft!

Here's postitive for ya Mike!!!

I'm a pretty positve person over-all, just not on the snow side of things. Our market is just way to beat up to stay positive for the long term.

I'm almost half tempted to push to do a route in Peoria, at least it seems like it's a bigger market!

But then you have to deal with people like Blackshore. Yep, there I go again, getting all negative...

Snow is so spotty here that we take a family ski trip every Feb the first week too. Not looking good for snow this year, the slopes don't have much either. I've had snow in Feb twice in the last 10 years I think and one of them was the blizzard of 10/11 with somewhere around 30 inches in 2 weeks. 6 inches was the week I was gone.

Over the last 5 years I've taken a family vacation in the beginning of February. Last year we went to St. John's and we had "NO" snow! The 4 years before last we went to Hawaii.... You all know what happened in those years! 50+ inches for the Chicagoland area 4 years straight!
Well I'm here to tell you that I'm gonna take one for the team and go back to Hawaii on Feb 2nd! You guys can thank me later. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make if it helps my fellow Plowsite members out. If this works we'll pass the hat! lol
Well was I right or was I right! If anyone wants to donate so I can stay here another week PM me! Think of me when your counting your money! lol
