Valve Solenoids

I just purchased a new valve solenoid to replace one on my plow. The old one's (correct one) part number was 49230k with a number of 6301010 -1001 printed on it. The new one i bought has a part number of 49230k-2 with a number of 6301010 - 1310 printed on it. I gave the plow parts place the original part number and never realized they were different til I got home. I was wondering if they are compatible or if I should get ones with matching numbers.

Thanks in advance
Jesse

The 49230K is actually just a coil as far as I know. It is a black plastic thing with two spade connectors on it. The coil goes over the valve cartraiges and generates the magnetic field, when powered, that transitions the valve. There are numerous manufacturers that make these for western, they are all the same as far as I know. I have transplanted them between old uni-mounts to late model plows to get by in a fix. They are all 12 volt and are crosscompatible.

Sorry about misunderstanding, i meant to coil but typed solenoid instead, I was just confused as the part numbers on package and on actual coil were different from each other, I was wondering if they are the same or compatible because of different part numbers

Thanks
Jesse
