Upgraded the 2000 7.3 last week to a 2012 F350 6.7. Wired and mounted for the 8611, if it ever snows. Let me tell you, the 6.7 is one Bad Motha Sucka'....RAW!

Thanks guys. Everything I have is white so it really wasn't a question. Put my floormats, mud flaps, and seat covers on order. Opted for the XLT over the Lariat because I couldn't bring myself to spend the extra $14k on leather seats and a fancy computer screen.

How well do you like that 6.2?? A friend of mine just got one as of a week ago. He said he likes it came from an 03 chevy reg long box 8.1. Sorry for jacking the thread!

You are correct I do have both the 6.2 and 6.7. I got rid of the 7.3 a few weeks ago.
To answer your question, the 6.2 is great. It is an excellent work truck motor for pulling a lawncare trailer, or anything you want really, around town. I used it 2 seasons for plowing w/ the 8611 and it had more than enough power. It's matched to a single cab truck though, keep that in mind. My buddy drove a crew cab w/ the 6.2 and said it was doggy. I don't agree that it would be doggy because I can't see the extra weight of a crew cab making that much difference. It was on a F250 and probably 3.31 gears where my truck has the 3.73 gears.
I pulled a skid steer back from WI (from WiPensfan) on a 20' trailer w/ 3 buckets. The 6 speed torqshift trans is awesome. I locked it in 5th gear and cruised the highway w/ NO problem at 75 and got around 10mpg. The only reason I went to the 6.7 in my latest truck is because I have a 26' enclosed race trailer that weighs around 8k lbs and travel across the midwest every weekend during the summer. As good as the 6.2 is it is no comparison to the 6.7. If you're towing alot, over the highway, the 6.7 is in a class all to it own, but at a cost of around $10k more.
Thank you very much!!!!! I see the local ford dealer has a black reg cab long box with a 6.2 and next to it is a 6.7 reg cab long box granted the diesel has carpet electronic 4wd and some other goodies. The 6.2 is 12,000 cheaper then the diesel. Been haveing some trouble with my chevy so im kind of looking over the fence!

I got my '11 F350 single cab, XL, shifter on the floor, manual hubs, power equipment group (power windows, door, Sync, controls on wheel, electronic locking differential, clotch seats. Pretty well loaded up for an XL. I paid $30,030. I think sticker was just shy of $37k. That was fall of '10.
About a week ago I was driving the local Chevy dealers lot and saw a nice crew cab chevy 2500 with short box. It's a nice navy blue. Went over to see it and saw it had the duramax in it...$55,000! I've never needed a diesel and I'm glad, wow.
I never "needed" a wife either but I got stuck with that payment too before I thought twice about it.
The truck I really wanted (350 lariat) was $64k!!! My truck stickered for $53 and settled in the low $40k range. I couldn't justify $11k worth of fancies. It really is ridiculous...
